Gift to government of USD150,000 or investment from USD200,000
Visa free access to 139 countries

The citizenship by investment program offered by St Kitts and Nevis is one of the most established and provides visa-free travel to 141 countries, including those in the Schengen Area, the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore and now Russia. Citizenship of this two-island Caribbean pearl has the added benefits of tax-free worldwide income, a relatively fast application of under four months and the possibility of including dependent children under 30 years of age and dependent parents or grandparents over 55.

To qualify for citizenship, the basic rule is that an applicant must make either:
• an investment of at least USD 200,000 in one of the approved real estate developments in addition to paying government fees and other fees and taxes, or
• a contribution to the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF, a public charity) starting from USD250,000 (for a single applicant), or a non-refundable contribution to the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF) of an amount starting from USD150,000 (for a single applicant).
The regulations regarding citizenship-by-investment in St. Kitts and Nevis are contained in Part II, Section 3 (5) of the Citizenship Act, 1984. These provisions allow the government to operate a program under which citizenship is granted to persons who qualify under criteria set by cabinet decision.
